Brennan Johnson reacts after Nottingham Forest make shock announcement before Burnley draw

Before yesterday night’s 1-1 draw with Burnley, Nottingham Forest made an unexpected announcement involving Giulian Biancone. Brennan Johnson was taken aback, and he responded on Instagram.

The Reds were supposed to loan the French defender to Olympiacos. Given the radio quiet since Greece’s transfer window closed, it was unclear whether the deal had gone through.

However, the club provided some clarity yesterday, which surprised everyone. Biancone was set to join Olympiacos from Forest, but the midfielder has now been sold to the Greek club.

During his 13 months with the Reds, the teenage defender only appeared three times. It goes without saying that his ACL rupture certainly impeded his progress and the club have now decided to move him on.

Biancone appeared like a kind guy in the Forest locker room. The 23-year-old joined the team near the close of last season and was frequently seen on the field celebrating with the players after good results.
The forest caused shock. Biancone made an announcement.

This comes as quite a surprise. Biancone was expected to leave Forest and play some football, but considering his age, it was assumed that he would just be loaned out.

Biancone responded to his leaving on Instagram. On deadline day, Brennan Johnson was the first to congratulate Forest, saying, “Good luck, brother.”

Clearly, the guy was well-liked by his teammates in the locker room. Alex Mighten and Taiwo Awoniyi congratulated him as well, with both players posting wordless messages.

Steve Cooper clearly didn’t think Biancone would make an impact at Forest. As a result, the club did well to sell him, with sister club Olympiacos eager to take him on.
