Newcastle United have called up two unexpected players for Tuesday night’s Champions League group stage match at AC Milan.
Newcastle come into the game (5:45pm BST) off the back of a 1-0 Premier League win over Brentford, with head coach Eddie Howe anticipated to make a number of changes to his team.
As Howe considers his starting lineup, Alexander Isak, Miguel Almiron, and Sandro Tonali might all be considered. However, with The Magpies permitted to select up to 12 substitutes for the San Siro fixture, certain players will be called on to the bench for the first time this season.
Most notably, 17-year-old midfielder Lewis Miley has travelled with Howe confirming during his Monday night press conference at the San Siro that the teenager will be involved in the Newcastle matchday squad.
