‘I don’t see’… Paul Merson predicts Wolves v Luton Town

Wolves are back in action on Saturday as they head to promoted side Luton Town.

Gary O’Neil‘s side will be motivated to grab three points as they visit Kenilworth Road, three points that would double their current tally.

Wolves will have lots of confidence too of winning this one after their impressive showing against Liverpool last weekend which saw only a Reds comeback deny Wolves.

But now if they take that same performance to face arguably the leagues worst team, three points should surely follow.

This is exactly the opinion which pundit Paul Merson has had when giving his predictions to SportsKeeda ahead of the weekend.

In his predictions column, Merson predicted an easy enough win for the Molineux side after admitting he was impressed by their performance last week.

“Luton Town need to win their home games if they want to retain their Premier League status. I don’t see them winning this one, though, as I believe Wolves are the better side now.

“They took a deserved lead against Liverpool but couldn’t hold on to it as the Reds showed their experience to stage an impressive second-half fightback.

“However, they caused Liverpool some major problems and should have enough firepower to get all three points despite not being as free-scoring as they’d want to be.”

Finally he added his scoreline prediction which was a 2-0 win for Old Gold.

Wolves to get on track

Wolves have struggled for results this season so far, but despite the results under O’Neil being poor, performances have been decent.

If Old Gold were more clinical they easily could have beaten Manchester United on opening day and only collapses saw them lose to Liverpool and Brighton.

Luton represents a huge opportunity to get points on the board with Manchester City and Aston Villa in the next few weeks.

A win would be huge in showing Wolves are above being a relegation side as they won’t be expected to beaten the European sides.
