Charlton winger Corey Blackett-Taylor has outline his desire amid transfer interest

Charlton Athletic winger discusses attracting interest in summer transfer window.
Charlton winger Corey Blackett-Taylor has talked about the fact he was the subject of interest in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old has been one of the Addicks’ top performers this season and scored his second goal of the campaign in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Wycombe.

Blackett-Taylor has played the full 90 minutes in all but one of the club’s eight League One fixtures and we reported that Derby County made a move for the former Aston Villa youngster before the window deadline.

Charlton technical director Andy Scott also confirmed that approaches were rebuffed for Blackett-Taylor and midfielder George Dobson.

“I’ve been involved in things like this before on deadline day, so I knew how to deal with it,” Blackett-Taylor told the club’s matchday programme. “We had a game the next day against Fleetwood that we had to prepare for, and matters were out of my hands.

“My biggest concern was the match the following afternoon.

“I’ve enjoyed it here so far. I feel I’ve improved in every season. I feel I can give this team an outlet. I can provide goals and assists. My pace and ability with the ball helps the team get forward and I’m a threat to the opposition.”

Blackett-Taylor and Dobson are both out of contract at the end of June.
