Good News: Just In Atlanta Braves Sign Another Top Experienced Star

After being released by the Nationals, Eddie Rosario was reportedly signed by the Braves to a minor league contract.
Additional news on the Atlanta Braves roster. The Braves have inked veteran outfielder Eddie Rosario to a minor league contract, according to Mark Bowman of Rosario was released by the Nationals on Thursday after his waiver request was granted.
Rosario signed a $2 million one-year contract with the Nationals in the off-season, but his performance was lackluster as he only hit.183/.226/.329 with seven home runs and a 54 wRC+. Earlier this week, Washington assigned him to a task.

Braves fans will always think of Rosario with affection because of his exploits in the postseason in 2021. After the World Series victory, he re-signed a two-year contract with the team. After having eye surgery in 2022, he only had 80 appearances in games. Rosario played in 142 games in 2023 and had a 100 wRC+, but Atlanta decided not to pick up his third-year option. Throughout the course of the previous two seasons, Rosario played in 222 games and only hit.240/.289/.408 with 26 home runs and an 87 wRC+.
Rosario will report to Gwinnett on Friday night, according to Bowman. The injuries to Michael Harris and Ronald Acuña Jr. have devastated the Braves’ outfield. Since the team has tried using a musical chairs method to find some production, it wouldn’t be shocking if Rosario was given a chance at some time.
