**Auburn Lands Commitment from OL Jacobe Ward**
Auburn has secured a commitment from Jacobe Ward, marking him as the fifth offensive line commit for their 2025 class. The 3-star interior offensive lineman chose Auburn over Tennessee and LSU, continuing Auburn’s leadership in his recruitment since spring.
Ward, standing at 6-foot-4 and 335 pounds, is ranked No. 682 overall, No. 44 among interior offensive linemen, and No. 75 in Georgia according to the 247Sports Composite. The Benedictine Military School (Ga.) standout is viewed by Auburn as an immediate impact player at guard, with offensive line coach Jake Thornton heavily advocating for his recruitment.
Ward highlighted Auburn’s environment and strong relationships with the coaching staff, particularly Coach Thornton and Coach Freeze, as key factors in his decision. Thornton emphasized that Ward could be a Day 1 starter, which played a significant role in Ward’s commitment.
Ward first visited Auburn in March and consistently identified the Tigers as his leader, even after visiting South Carolina, LSU, and Tennessee. His official visit to Auburn in June reaffirmed his choice, making him feel at home.
Ward’s commitment makes him the 16th member of Auburn’s 2025 class, which is ranked No. 11 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings. He joins Tavaris Dice, Broderick Shull, Tai Buster, and Spencer Dowland as the fifth offensive line commit. Now, Ward is focused on recruiting his teammate and Miami commit, Herbert “Third” Scroggins, back to Auburn.
Ward’s message to Auburn fans: “I’m coming home. War Eagle.”
