‘Beautiful’: Steve Sutton blown away by 25-year-old Nottingham Forest star live on air

Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Brentford and during the game, Steve Sutton raved about Nicolas Dominguez. The Reds newbie scored the equalising goal after Christian Norgaard struck first for the Bees.

It proved a bit of a frustrating game for Forest. The Reds dominated the first half but a flashpoint 10 minutes after half-time saw Moussa Niakhate sent off and they were forced to come from behind to claim a share of the spoils.

Forest needed to really try and win the game. However, once they were reduced to 10 men that was always going to prove a tricky thing to try and do.

Sutton raves about Forest player Dominguez

The 25-year-old signed for Forest during the summer transfer window. He produced a brilliant debut display against Manchester City and kept his place against Brentford.

Forest midfielder Dominguez has made 11 appearances for Argentina. He helped them with the Copa America in 2021 and he’s recently spoken about his relationship with Lionel Messi.

After his first Forest goal, Sutton raved about Dominguez live on BBC Radio Nottingham. He said: It’s such a beautiful header. Beautiful it was. Dipped just under the ball and beat the goalkeeper.”

Dominguez looks like an amazing signing

It’s early days but Dominguez looks like a golden egg signing for Forest. He looks an incredible player and on Sunday he was busy, vibrant and worked incredibly hard at both ends of the pitch.

He comes to the City Ground hoping to make a name for himself in the Premier League. He was a star man with Bologna but he knows this will be viewed as a step up.

Dominguez could become a real star at Forest. The club didn’t pay over the odds for him and hopefully, he can enjoy a long and successful run in the Forest team.
