‘I don’t think’: Paul Merson predicts who will win this weekend – Crystal Palace or Nottingham Forest

Paul Merson’s Prediction for Nottingham Forest vs. Crystal Palace Clash

Paul Merson has shared his prediction for the upcoming matchup between Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Steve Cooper’s Forest side is aiming to get back to winning ways, but they will have to do so without several key first-team players. Felipe, Danilo, and Nuno Tavares are expected to miss the game due to injuries, while Moussa Niakhate won’t be available following his red card against Brentford last weekend. Ryan Yates and Nicolas Dominguez are uncertain and will be closely monitored leading up to Saturday night.

Merson, the Sky Sports pundit, anticipates a closely contested match, with Forest having a slight edge. He noted, “Crystal Palace could be in for a shock here. They’re very good as a tight unit, but with Eze and Olise injured, I don’t think they have what it takes to hurt teams in the Premier League.”

He further commented, “This is going to be a good game. I think it could be one of those games that Nottingham Forest could capitalize on. You don’t know what you’re going to get with Palace at the moment, and Forest might be able to pick up a win here.”

Merson’s prediction for the match is: Crystal Palace 0-1 Nottingham Forest.

Notably, Nottingham Forest has a chance to secure their second away win of the season, having already defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign. With key Palace players like Wilfried Zaha gone and both Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze sidelined due to injuries, Saturday presents Forest with an excellent opportunity to secure three valuable points.
