Newcastle united now in race with top premier league clubs to sign 19-year-old talented player

Despite the fact that the player just extended his contract with the Bundesliga club until 2028, Arsenal has emerged as a prominent candidate in the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s left winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
According to German media, notably Bild, Arsenal are ‘above all’ among Premier League clubs interested in the 19-year-old, with rivals Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Arsenal are said to be the favorites to recruit Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who recently extended his contract until 2028.

Despite the new contract and higher valuation, the Gunners, led by manager Mikel Arteta, remain anxious to sign the youthful potential.

Bynoe-Gittens, a London native and current England U21 international, recently obtained a pay increase after renewing his contract with Dortmund, complicating any potential transfer move.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is considered to be a ‘huge fan’ of the player.

According to sources, the North London club’s ‘people in charge’ see ‘great potential’ in the winger, making them a formidable rival in any future bid.

Bynoe-Gittens signed an agreement with Borussia Dortmund last week, effectively binding him to the German club until 2028. This complicates the challenge of negotiating a sale for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.

Bynoe-Gittens joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City’s academy in 2022 for no money.

Since then, he has successfully risen through the ranks to play for Dortmund’s first team, with his current market value climbing to €14 million, according to Transfermarkt.

Prior to joining Manchester City, he was a member of Reading’s youth academy.

Although he has only made a few appearances for Dortmund’s first squad, several Premier League clubs have already expressed interest in him. To make matters even more difficult for Arsenal, signing Bynoe-Gittens will be difficult not just because of the new contract and higher market worth, but also because of significant competition from rival clubs.

In his short stint in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, he has already clocked up impressive minutes, although he is yet to find the back of the net.
