Man Utd plot summer move for crystal palace fantatic player ‘worth £100m’

Manchester United is reportedly showing strong interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi with an eye towards a potential summer transfer. Guehi, who joined Palace from Chelsea for £20 million in the summer of 2021, has made 91 appearances for the club and even served as their captain under Roy Hodgson.

Guehi’s current contract with Selhurst Park is set to expire in 2026, and there were previous rumors linking him with a move away in the summer, with Arsenal and Chelsea also expressing interest. While Chelsea doesn’t possess a buyback clause, they do have the right to match any accepted offer for the talented center-back.

Now, Manchester United is in the mix as well, as reported by The South London Press, and they are considering making a move to bring Guehi to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.

During the summer, Palace had set an asking price of £60 million for Guehi, but according to transfer expert Dean Jones, they believe his value could potentially reach £100 million, particularly after he started the last two international games for the England national team under Gareth Southgate. Jones attributes his “international pedigree” as a significant factor in increasing his market value.

Hodgson believes Guehi has the potential to become even better and is eager to see him continue to progress in his career.

In summary, Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi during the upcoming summer transfer window. Guehi has attracted attention from various clubs, with Chelsea having matching rights on any accepted offer. Palace originally valued him at £60 million, but his recent international performances have elevated his potential market value to around £100 million. Roy Hodgson, the Palace manager, has praised Guehi’s qualities and drive for improvement.
