AC Milan consider move to sign former Bayern munich and Anderlecht striker

AC Milan are trying to acquire a new striker in January, according to TuttoSport, and Joshua Zirkzee has been added to their shortlist. The Dutchman, 22, presently plays for Bologna, where he has three goals in nine games this season.

Milan are looking for someone to step into the shoes of 37-year-old Olivier Giroud. The Serie A leaders have taken notice of Zirkzee, among others, and are thought to be keeping an eye on the growth of the Netherlands U21 international.

In the summer of 2022, Joshua Zirkzee joined Bologna from Bayern Munich in a transaction valued roughly €8.5 million. This season, the former Anderlecht attacker has been a standout for the club, which is presently 11th in Serie A. Zirkzee is currently worth roughly €20 million.

Zirkzee began his career at ADO Den Haag’s development program before going on to Feyenoord’s junior system. In 2017, he was recruited by Bayern Munich, where he rose through the ranks to make 17 first-team appearances and score four goals. Loan moved to Parma and then Anderlecht before settling down with Bologna as his permanent home. If AC Milan come calling, Joshua Zirkzee could be on the move again in January.
