Spanish giant plot ‘shocking’ move to sign AC Milan fantastic star

Real Madrid could go on the attack to sign AC Milan’s 18-year-old Serbian defender Jan-Carlo Simic.
According to the Spanish publication Fichajes, Real Madrid is interested in Jan-Carlo Simic. The Merengues are on the lookout for centre-backs ahead of the summer transfer window in 2024. And AC Milan’s 18-year-old wonderkid has emerged as a target for them.

Jan-Carlo Simic is a Nurtingen native who has spent the majority of his formative years in Germany. He started his junior career at SV Hegnach before moving on to Stuttgarter Kickers and VfB Stuttgart. However, after joining AC Milan last year, the teenage star is no longer playing age-group football in Italy.

The Rossoneri paid €1 million to bring in the 18-year-old defensive wonder. In the last 15 months, the teenager has shown great improvement, appearing 44 times for various AC Milan teams. Simic, meantime, has opted to represent Serbia on the international scene and is now a member of the national Under-19 team.

Simic’s development at the Serie A club has not gone unnoticed, attracting the interest of numerous high-profile European clubs. The young defender was linked to Arsenal during the summer transfer window, according to reports. And the adolescent has surfaced as a probable target for Real Madrid in the summer of 2024.

Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid could be in for a tough season in 2023/24 after completing the summer transfer window with a bare-bones defense and attack. They are already feeling the impact, with Antonio Rudiger the only available center-back. While David Alaba and Eder Militao are out due to injuries, Nacho is serving a ban.

So it’s not surprising that Real Madrid will look for a youthful center-back in the summer of 2024. As a result, several defenders, notably Antonio Silva, have appeared on Real Madrid’s radar. Simic is the latest promising central defender to emerge as a Los Blancos target.

At AC Milan, the 18-year-old prodigy has made incredible growth. He is expected to make his first-team debut soon. However, Real Madrid’s interest might turn his head, meaning the Serie A giants need to be on their toes to retain his services beyond next summer.
