Celtic plot move to re-sign premier league attacking midfielder

Celtic are said to be interested in resigning Ryan Christie. The Scotland Internationalist is now playing in the Premier League for Bournemouth, for whom he left Celtic in the summer of 2021, and his contract expires at the conclusion of this season.

According to Team Talk, The Cherries and Christie have held good conversations about extending the contract, although Celtic are eager to re-sign the offensive midfielder. Christie has started every game for Bournemouth this season and has assisted once, bringing his season total to 6 goals and 10 assists in 85 appearances.

His stint with Celtic was exceptionally productive, with 41 goals and 44 assists in 151 games during the club’s great spell. He appeared to want to try himself outside of Scottish football, and Bournemouth offered him a different way of life.

It will be an interesting match to watch, not least since his contract in the South of England is coming to an end and Bournemouth are near the bottom of the standings.

Rodgers may be a fan of the player, but Christie looked to have reached its logical end. Christie would be unlikely to return to Celtic on this condition.
