Unexpectedly, Ole Miss standout opens transfer gateway

This summer, the Ole Miss Rebels have added a ton of talent, but they might soon lose one of their own important players to the transfer portal.

Quinshon Judkins, a standout running back, has reportedly made the decision to use the transfer portal. Judkins, who finished 2023 as the second-best rusher in the SEC, will quickly rise to the top of the portal’s skill pool.

This is a surprising move, while it might also be explained by Judkins’s simple desire to extract more money from Ole Miss or another source. But it would be a severe blow to Ole Miss if he did depart. The program has returned players like quarterback Jaxson Dart, but it has also brought in a lot of transfer talent. It’s surprising that Judkins would consider leaving such a good position, especially because they are a legitimate candidate for the expanded College Football Playoffs and a top 10 team. Unless there are financial reasons for his departure, this is a surprising move.

With Ole Miss, Judkins has amassed 2,723 yards and 34 touchdowns through the air in just two seasons. Only a year after winning the conference’s best freshman award, he was chosen for the All-SEC team this season. Given his exceptional talent and potential as an NFL player, it is reasonable to assume that most elite institutions will give him a look.
