Transfer rumors: Newcastle player is close to signing with a larger team.

Newcastle is not among the Premier League’s top seven teams, but it’s feasible that they will get weaker rather than stronger during the January transfer window.

Due to FFP laws, the Magpies’ finest midfield player, Bruno Guimarães, is the subject of transfer speculations, while they are considering Amadou Onana as a potential midfield transfer target.

Now, return to stardom immediately. Kieran Trippier is the subject of transfer rumors, as Bayern Munich is actively seeking the seasoned fullback to supplement their youthful, talented Noussair Mazraoui.

Ben Jacobs claims that Newcastle has rejected a transfer proposal from Bayern because they do not want to lose Trippier in January.

Jacobs does, however, corroborate Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Deutschland’s story that Trippier and Bayern had reached an agreement on “provisional terms” for a deal.

Although Trippier is a liability on defense, he is arguably the second-best wide playmaking fullback in the world of football, only surpassed by Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool, a fellow Premier League star.

A midseason loss of Kieran Trippier would be disastrous for Newcastle.
From the right back position, Trippier is the most realistic set-piece magician and chance-maker, as TAA is completely untransferable and extremely costly.

Bayern could afford to pursue an ambitious playmaking right back since they have an excellent collection of center backs. They also appear to like Nordi Mukiele, a PSG player who was once a star for RB Leipzig.

Though not as flashy as Mazraoui, Mukiele is a more versatile and defensive player who can play right back instead of concentrating on offense.

Even though Trippier’s defensive shortcomings are getting worse with age, Newcastle would still have to deal with his loss. Because of his set-piece deliveries and wicked crosses, he is a leader and an important source of creation.

With European football on the line, the Magpies cannot afford to lose a crucial player at this point. Trippier finds it difficult to decline Bayern, though. Although Newcastle is a large club, Bayern, along with Barcelona and Real Madrid, are on an even higher plane.

Few refuse Bayern, and those that do so almost never regret it. Take a look at Harry Kane. He is thriving at the Allianz Arena like never before after leaving Tottenham this past summer.
