Breaking News: LSU Tigers In Talk To Sign Top Experienced Ole Miss Man

Ole Miss is the next top employee that LSU football is hiring.
LSU football is hiring the team’s next senior personnel staff member away from Ole Miss as it replenishes the personnel department following several offseason departures.

A source told The Advocate that Preston Tiffany will take over as the Tigers’ new director of player personnel, which will give him significant responsibility for roster management and recruitment. The story was initially reported on Wednesday by Football Scoop.

After Will Redmond left for Auburn last month after three seasons in Baton Rouge, Tiffany took over. Two notable personnel assistants who left LSU for prominent positions at other universities are Jeremiah Bogan and Mike Ferrara.

Tiffany spent the last four seasons as an employee of Ole Miss. He started working as an Ole Miss recruiting and personnel assistant in 2020 after receiving his degree from South Carolina. By last year, he had worked his way up to director of player personnel.

LSU acquired Tiffany as its second hire from Ole Miss this offseason. Austin Thomas is the new senior associate athletic director for football administration, as announced by the Tigers. For the previous two years, Thomas served as Ole Miss’ chief of staff under Lane Kiffin.
