Good News: New Orleans Saints confirm the addition of top talented star

The New Orleans Saints, currently holding the No. 14 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, are looking to address a significant need in their offensive line. Multiple mock drafts suggest that the Saints might select JC Latham from Alabama, a standout offensive tackle, with the belief that he can make an immediate impact on their offense in the upcoming season.

Described as a robust and lengthy offensive tackle, Latham is seen as a versatile player who can effectively fill either edge spot on the Saints’ offensive line. Chris Trapasso, writing for CBS Sports, emphasizes Latham’s potential for instant contribution.

As of the latest information, the Saints’ offensive line depth is limited, with only a few linemen under contract, including Trevor Penning, Cesar Ruiz, Nick Saldiveri, Landon Young, and Ryan Ramczyk. While Penning, the No. 19 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, hasn’t fulfilled expectations as their left tackle, Ramczyk remains a quality offensive tackle. However, concerns about his chronic knee issues have led to retirement talks despite being only 29 years old.

The envisioned role for JC Latham in the Saints’ lineup involves playing left tackle alongside Ryan Ramczyk on the right side. Although Latham has limited experience in that position, his natural position is right tackle, making him a suitable replacement if needed. Standing at an imposing 6’6″ and 360 pounds, Latham is known for his solid run-blocking skills, addressing a primary concern for the Saints in 2023, where they struggled with a league-worst 3.6 yards per carry.
