Breaking News: New York Yankees Confirm The Departure Of Another Top Star

In exchange for monetary considerations, the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired left-handed reliever Nick Ramirez from the New York Yankees.

Ramirez, 34, appeared in 32 games with the Yankees in 2023. In 40.2 innings pitched, he recorded 28 strikeouts and had a 2.66 ERA. Before the 2024 season began, he was assigned to the minor leagues, and on March 30, he was slated for assignment.

He signed a free agent contract with the San Diego Padres for the 2021 season after making his big league debut with the Detroit Tigers in 2019. Prior to signing with the Yankees, Ramirez was a member of the Seattle Mariners’ minor league organization in 2022.

His career record is 7–7, he has a 4.04 ERA, and he has struck out 127 batters.

Originally from Anaheim, Ramirez attended Katella High School before enrolling at Cal State Fullerton to play collegiate baseball. The Milwaukee Brewers selected him in the fourth round of the 2011 MLB Draft as a first baseman.

The Dodgers assigned the left-handed pitcher to Oklahoma City, their Triple-A affiliate, after they acquired him.
