Latest BAMA News: Just In Alabama Confirm Departure Of Another Star

James Brockermeyer, an Alabama center, logs into the transfer portal: Reports
Numerous sources state that James Brockermeyer, a center for Alabama, has accessed the transfer portal. With Seth McLaughlin gone, Brockermeyer was vying for the starting position for the Crimson Tide.

Pete Nakos of On3 broke the story first. According to reports, Brockermeyer has a no-contact tag in the portal.

In Tuscaloosa, Brockermeyer appeared to have the advantage over the other starting center contenders. Parker Brailsford, a Washington transfer who hadn’t been working out with the Crimson Tide because of undisclosed personal matters, was his opponent.

Following the team’s second scrimmage of spring practice, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer praised Brockermeyer, saying, “He’s done a really good job.” “He’s got plenty of chances to take lots of pictures, so keep going.” There has been clear communication.

After McLaughlin transferred to Ohio State following the 2023 season, Brockermeyer was the Tide’s primary backup center in the previous campaign. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound product of Texas will be a redshirt junior at his next destination after playing three seasons for Tuscaloosa.

Prior to the 2021 campaign, he was a four-star recruit for the Crimson Tide. The 247Sports composite ratings placed him as the best center in the class.

Tommy Brockermeyer, his brother, accompanied him to Alabama before deciding to move to TCU in time for the 2023 campaign.
