Latest Orleans Saints News: Just In New Orleans Saints Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Offensive Lineman

Shane Lemieux, a former standout of the Oregon Ducks, signs with the New Orleans Saints
In 2024, Shane Lemieux hopes to resume his career on track following three seasons marred by injuries.

The New Orleans Saints signed the former offensive lineman for the Oregon Ducks; the organization made the announcement last week. The Saints withheld their financial information. Katherine Terrell of ESPN reports that Lemieux agreed to a one-year contract with the veteran minimum of $1.06 million.

Following his debut in 12 games as a rookie in 2020 with the New York Giants, Lemieux has missed the last three seasons due to injury.

Lemieux was only able to play in one game in 2021 due to a patella tendon injury. He missed 16 games in 2022 due to a toe injury, and after four games in the previous season, he tore his biceps, terminating his season.

Lemieux declared himself fit for training camp.

Lemieux stated on saints.com that “coming back from that was tough.” “I’m feeling well now. I’m fired up and ready to go after working my tail off.

“I attempt to avoid talking about the past. Focus only on today and getting well.

Lemieux was chosen by the Giants with their fifth-round pick (No. 150) in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played in 18 games (12 starts) throughout his first four seasons with the Giants from 2020 to 2023.
