**COMMIT: Iowa State Adds LSU Transfer CB Ryan Robinson**

Iowa State football has bolstered its roster with the addition of former LSU cornerback Ryan Robinson, who committed to the Cyclones on Tuesday evening. Robinson chose Iowa State after receiving an offer from the coaching staff over the weekend.

A New Orleans native, Robinson was a three-star recruit and ranked among the top 800 prospects in the 247Sports Composite coming out of high school. Despite receiving around 25 scholarship offers, including several from SEC schools, Robinson opted to walk on at LSU.

During his one season with the Tigers, Robinson played in four games, primarily contributing on special teams. He saw action at cornerback in one game against Grambling.

At Iowa State, Robinson joins a cornerback unit that includes returning starter Myles Purchase. The Cyclones are expected to start Jontez Williams alongside Purchase at corner this upcoming season. Robinson will compete for playing time and depth chart positioning with redshirt senior Darien Porter and JUCO transfer Matthew Bess.
