**McDonald Joins Alabama Recruiting Class**
The 6-foot-0.5, 190-pound Jaden McDonald chose Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide over 27 other offers, including from Georgia, USC, and Oregon. The Santa Ana, California native is the seventh-ranked prospect in California and the ninth-ranked cornerback nationally, ranking as the No. 76 prospect in the 2025 class according to 247Sports Composite.
McDonald is the 12th commitment in Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class, which ranks eighth nationally per 247Sports, and the first cornerback in the class. He joins his Mater Dei High School teammate Abdoull Sanders Jr. (LB), who committed to Alabama in March.

**Derrion Reid Shines in u18 FIBA Americup**
Derrion Reid helped the USA win the u18 FIBA Americup, playing as the sixth man and logging almost as many minutes as the starting wings. Reid tied for third on the team in scoring with 10.3 points and ranked second in rebounds with 7.7 boards per game, despite averaging only 16.5 minutes. His standout performance came against Canada in the semifinals.
Reid, at 6’7”, is known for his defensive prowess, rebounding ability, and ball-handling skills. He also demonstrated impressive passing ability. Although he missed all four of his three-point attempts in the tournament, he previously shot 40% from three on the Nike EYBL circuit, indicating strong potential.
