**Alabama Adds Punter to 2025 Recruiting Class**
Alex Asparuhov, a punter from Fresno, California, has become the 15th recruit in Alabama’s 2025 class and the first to join the special teams. Asparuhov, currently visiting Tuscaloosa, announced his commitment on Twitter/X, choosing Alabama over offers from Florida and Oklahoma.
Ranked as the No. 3 punter in the 2025 class by Kohl’s Kicking, Asparuhov impressed evaluators with his fundamentally sound technique. At the Underclassman Challenge, he accumulated 109.71 points, and despite cold weather, scored over 109 points in December 2023. His standout performance at the Western Showcase Camp earlier that year further established his reputation, earning him a 5.0-star rating as a punter and 4.5 stars as a kicker.
His punting stats are notable, with 110.2 points in punting, 6 of 15 points on field goals, and 103.1 points on kick-offs. Kohl’s Kicking noted his early promise, citing a 39.5-yard average during the 2022 Kohl’s California Winter Showcase Camp. They see Asparuhov as a potential Division 1 punter.
Asparuhov’s commitment bolsters Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class, which 247Sports ranks third nationally, trailing only Ohio State and Notre Dame.
