Good News: Just In Vols Confirm Major Boost As Another Top Talented Star Confirm To Commits To Vols Football

Tennessee Football Outshines Alabama and Georgia in Securing Four-Star DL

Tennessee football scored a significant victory in recruiting by securing a commitment from Charles House, a highly sought-after four-star defensive lineman from Huntersville, North Carolina. House chose the Volunteers over notable programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia.

Announcing his decision on X/Twitter, House expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m home Good Ol Rocky Top.”

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, House is part of the 2025 recruiting class. According to the 247Sports Composite, he ranks as the 64th best defensive lineman, while On3 Sports places him 24th in the same category.

House’s decision came after visiting several top SEC schools. He toured Rocky Top on June 14, Athens on June 7, and Tuscaloosa on May 31, ultimately finding Knoxville to be the most fitting. His relationship with the coaching staff was a significant factor in his choice.

“I chose Tennessee because of my relationship with the staff and the coaches,” House shared with On3 Sports. “It felt like home. I can see myself excelling there, and they can develop me really well.”

House, ranked as the No. 284 overall prospect and No. 24 defensive lineman in the 2025 On300, emphasized the importance of fitting in. “At Tennessee, it felt like it was that right fit,” he said.

This commitment marks a major success for Josh Heupel and the Tennessee football program, known for their fast-paced, high-powered offense. Heupel and his team have been focusing on recruiting top defensive talent in recent cycles.

House is the sixth defensive player to join Tennessee’s 2025 class, bringing the total number of commitments to 13 as of July. The class is headlined by four-star quarterback George MacIntyre from Nashville, Tennessee.

Other prominent recruits in the 2025 class include four-star defensive lineman Ethan Outlay, four-star wide receiver Radarious Jackson, four-star tight end Jack Van Dorselaer, and four-star edge Jayden Loftin.
