Done Deal: Mario Cristobal Confirm Major Boost As Top Talented Highly 5-Star Commits To Miami Hurricanes Football

**Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Shares Bold Opinion on QB Cam Ward**

The Miami Hurricanes have significantly improved their outlook for the 2024 season by securing Washington State transfer quarterback Cam Ward. Heading into his fifth college football season, Ward brings much-needed experience to the team.

Miami head coach Mario Cristobal praised his new quarterback, stating, “He’s helped us evolve. You’re not limited with him. He can do a lot of things. He’s got a tremendous capacity, a super high football IQ and his ability to improvise is sometimes better than the designed play.”

Cristobal also highlighted Ward’s football intelligence, noting, “He’s a high IQ guy and so systematic that he plays within the system. If it’s not exactly the right call, he can make you right when you’re wrong with your call. Whether it be with his feet, whether it be with his arm angles, whether it be with his accuracy or his ability to just improvise — he’s really added a lot.”

Ward had an impressive 2023 season with Washington State, completing 66.6 percent of his passes for 3,735 yards, 25 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also added 144 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and just over 220 pounds, Ward is set for a potentially massive season in 2024. His performance could make Miami a sleeper team to watch.

In addition to his on-field success, Ward has become a star in the NIL market, ranked No. 21 overall and No. 14 in college football by On3, with a valuation of $1.1 million.

Ward has the opportunity to lead Miami back to prominence. If successful, he could improve his standing for the 2025 NFL Draft.
