Sunderland now keen to sign fantastic player as January deal agreed between clubs

According to reports, Sunderland may be able to re-sign Amad Diallo after talks with Manchester United.

Following an injury and a lack of game time in the Premier League, Diallo might make a fairytale return to the Stadium of Light in January.

Last season, the Ivorian was one of the Championship’s most dynamic players, dubbed ‘electric’ by ITV.

Why didn’t Amad Diallo join in the summer?

He looked set to go and smash it in the Premier League at Old Trafford after his electrifying form for the Black Cats.

Early in preseason, the attacker impressed. A knee injury ended his chances of making an early impact.

Any chance of him playing for the Red Devils or making a move back to the North East was ruled out by this issue.

Diallo is soon to return to fitness. After missing a large portion of the season, Erik Ten Haag appears to prefer a loan deal.

What will he add to Sunderland?

Everyone knows what Amad is about, and if he can find his feet quickly, he poses a threat to opposing defenses.

He is direct, powerful, quick, and has a keen eye for goal.

Diallo would be a great replacement for Jack Clarke, who has been extensively linked with a move to the Premier League. Having said that, they would be fantastic together.

The Black Cats will be a threat if Tony Mowbray can get them both blazing on all cylinders.

This one appears to be a possibility, and Sunderland fans have every reason to be excited. The prodigal son is on his way back.
