Ryan Tannehill, a former quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, is among the best quarterbacks available as a free agency. Tannehill is perhaps the finest quarterback available this summer in a weak class that has seen the signing of the best players. The Las Vegas Raiders are one team that would be a good fit for Tannehill.
The Raiders seem like a respectable squad on paper. Tannehill might offer them an opportunity to qualify for the playoffs if he can go out and perform like he has for the most of his career. According to Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport, the Raiders are among the teams that would be the greatest fits for Tannehill. He writes that the team wouldn’t need to make a trade in order to select a rookie quarterback earlier in the draft.
The circumstances facing the Las Vegas Raiders are uncannily identical. The Raiders are too far down the draft to select a top arm without making a costly deal after last year’s 8–9 campaign. Furthermore, it is both futile and depressing to debate whether Aidan O’ Connell or Stidham is the superior NFL starter.
Early in the offseason, the Raiders inked Gardner Minshew to a two-year, $25 million contract. Tannehill has had a far better career, but Minshew is anticipated to get a shot at the starting job even though he has occasionally had the makings of an ordinary NFL quarterback.
Why the Raiders Should Sign Tannehill

Tannehill makes sense for them on a cheap deal, albeit the injuries are a concern. The Raiders would be a club to monitor if he maintains his health and performs at his 2020 and 2021 levels.
Dolphins Might Employ Tannehill

It might make sense for Tannehill to return to the Dolphins more than five years later. The Dolphins need to have an above-average backup quarterback because Tua Tagovailoa is their starting quarterback and has a history of injuries.
