**4-Star LB Tyler Lockhart Decommits from Auburn Tigers**

Winona (Miss.) four-star linebacker Tyler Lockhart announced on social media Friday afternoon that he has decommitted from the Auburn Tigers.

“After a long talk with my family I have decided to open my recruitment and de-commit from Auburn University,” Lockhart wrote.

Lockhart had originally committed to Auburn on May 6. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, he is the nation’s No. 138 overall prospect, No. 16 linebacker, and No. 5 recruit from Mississippi in the 2025 cycle.

**Auburn Class Breakdown**

Despite Lockhart’s decommitment, Auburn’s 2025 class still features nine blue-chip recruits. Leading the class is Enterprise (Ala.) four-star safety Eric Winters, ranked as the nation’s No. 65 overall prospect. Other top-150 recruits include Opelika (Ala.) defensive lineman Malik Autry, Highland Home (Ala.) EDGE Jakaleb Faulk, and Bixby (Okla.) offensive tackle Broderick Shull.

Auburn had also been the frontrunner in Alvin Henderson’s recruitment before he initially committed to Penn State on April 11. However, Henderson re-committed to Auburn after a little over two months, stating, “Auburn is home. I really appreciate Penn State and I love it up there and their coaches, but Auburn is home. It always has been.”
